The IL-IA ACS Local Section provided $100 to support the ACS tent at the Illinois State Fair.

The IL-IA ACS Local Section provided $5,000 to support the incorporation of chemistry and materials science into the Flying High, Academy of Wizardry, She's the First, and Science of Superheroes summer camps at the Putnam Museum and Science Center. The Local Section was recognized at the camp and in social media postings by the Putnam Museum.

The IL-IA ACS Local Section provided $2,500 to support scholarships for local schools to get involved in the QCBC Plant & Soil Science program and to support the introduction of a new program at the QCBC, "Mission to Mars."
